Journal 8

I have already read more than half the book because it is really good. I am really enjoying the book right now, and it is causing me to keep reading when I have to do other things like homework and rest to get better. I think that I am connecting with the book really well because Eragon, the main character, is about the same age as me. I tend to like books that have characters in the same age group because I can relate to them more easily. This book made me imagine I was Eragon himself. I was just transformed into a new world with magical creatures where I owned my own dragon and I was a feared dragon rider.

Journal 7

I started a new book, Eragon. I have very high expectations of this book because many people have said that it is a good book. I was very surprised when I found out that the author, Christopher Paolini, started writing at a very young age of fifteen. I hope that the book is as good as I heard it to be. I think it would be interesting to meet the author and ask how he first came up with the idea of Eragon and all the characters involved in the story. He must have a very imaginative mind because I would never be able to think of a story like his. From Christopher Paolini, I learned that age does not matter.

Once again, Christina Agatha did not fail to surprise me. I will have to admit that she is "the Queen of Crime." I was fascinated at how she used Hercule Poirot to solve the mystery. It is just amazing how Hercule Poirot thinks. I want to be able to comprehend his logic. However, this book was similar to another one of her books I read, so I kind of guessed who committed the murder. I think I'm getting used to Agatha Christie's books now, but I still like her murder mysteries.

Journal 5

Hercule Poirot would be an interesting person to talk to if he was a real person. While reading books about him, I always wondered what goes on in his mind. It is amazing how he solves mysteries. I would also ask for some tips on being a detective because I think that it would be fun being one. I would like to know about Hercule Poirot's life as a kid. I am curious about what he did as a kid and want to know why he came a detective. Additionally, I always wanted to know how to exactly pronunciate his full name. I admire how Hercule Poirot always follows the truth and is not partial to anything or anyone.
